When an individual that has medium length or long hair and is just is out of ideas for how to style it then the perfect solution is the ponytail. It has many advantages such as keeping the hair off the face and looking neat and tidy without a lot of work.

If you want to have the perfect ponytail look then there is, some steps that you are going to have to take in order to achieve this.

First, you want to start with clean hair; otherwise, you are going to have difficulty if your hair is oily because the band holding your ponytail is going to slip because of the oil.

If your hair is dry and you have not conditioned it then you are running the risk for splitting the ends. So to begin with, make sure that you shampoo well and use a conditioner unless of course your hair is oily. Towel dry it as there is no need to blow-dry your hair for the ponytail look. You might want to add a little bit of gel to give it a nice shiny look and to help keep those flyaway hairs under control.

The best way to get your ponytail in instead of trying to fight with all the hair at the back is lean forward and brush all your hair down to your face. Bring all of the hair from the back forward. Once you have done this then you can gather all of your hair in one bunch and apply the holder that you are going to be using.

Now many people would use elastics but if you are going to use these then make sure that they are coated or covered in material such as scrunches for example. Once you have done this, you can stand back up straight and adjust your ponytail to exactly where you want it to hang from. Some individuals like a ponytail that will hang almost from the top of the head whereas others like it in the middle section of the back of the head and some even lower. This is going to come down to the type of look you want and if you are going to do anything further as far as styling with your ponytail

You can do other variations with your ponytail look as well. Perhaps if you do not want it at the back you can have your ponytail to the side. This way what you need to do is turn your head to the side to gather all your hair at this time.

Then there are different ways that you can dress up your ponytail by using some pretty ribbons, which are ideal, if you have used thin elastic. Alternatively, you may want to go with many of the scrunches. All one has to do is take a look around your home and you are going to find some creative ideas for adding that extra touch to your ponytail.

Getting rid of flabby arms entails a solid understanding of protein. Why? Because protein plays a major role in the female body. And if you don’t know how to manage your protein intake, results could come at a much slower pace.

And not all sources of protein are good for you.

In fact, there are certain kinds of protein that can seriously damage your health over the long run. So here are 5 terrible sources of protein for flabby arms that you should stay away from like the plague:

1. Non-wild salmon. Any type of salmon that is farm raised is likely to be loaded with toxins such as PCB’s. There is some solid research backing this up. So if your budget permits, stick to wild salmon with the highest fat content.

2. Fried protein. Deep fried food tastes very good, but the taste comes at a cost. Not only are you loading up on fat, but if you inhale the fumes your risk for lung cancer goes up a lot.

3. Charred meats. We love big grills and big barbecues. Unfortunately, all those black and crunchy edges of meat increase colon cancer risk. So stay away from any type of meat that has been cooked to the point of blackness.

4. Red meat with high fat content. Red meat has a bad reputation. But it’s not the red meat that’s bad for you, it’s the saturated fat within the red meat that causes the damage. If possible, stick to grass fed sources of meat. They will be higher in omega-3 fats and lower in saturated fat.

5. Deli-cut meat. I used to eat tons of this stuff because it’s so convenient. Then I found out that it’s one of the most unhealthy sources of protein out there. Why? Because of the nitrates. Stay away from processed meats no matter how convenient they may be. Your body will thank you for it.

Choosing the right source of protein for getting rid of flabby arms will not only accelerate results but will also maintain your long term health. And getting sexy and lean arms should be a healthy process in both the short-term and long-term. So avoid the above sources of protein!

What are parabens and why is there a growing movement by consumers of personal, beauty, cosmetics and skin care products towards paraben free skin care products and other products?

Parabens are a class of chemicals that are used as preservatives of a wide range of personal products like shaving creams, moisturizers, cosmetics, shampoos and skin care products. If you have some of those to hand at home look on the label and see if parabens are listed there.

They are extremely effective as anti bacterial and anti fungicidal agents, hence their use. They have been used as preservatives for many years.

But there is now some questioning of the safety of using parabens in our personal products that are applied right onto our skin. Why?

When you apply a product to the skin the parabens are absorbed almost immediately and are found in your blood soon after. This doesn’t mean they’re dangerous, but it’s not a nice thought.

But there are studies linking parabens to a range of cancers including breast cancer and other studies have suggested that they may have a hormonal effect on the body. And they have been linked to skin rashes and more. They are thought to disrupt the endocrine system.

And none of it is fully proven and it’s not even clear when something is fully proven, and of course the big companies argue it’s all a storm in a teacup.

Regardless some people aren’t convinced and are looking for paraben free products like skincare products on the principal that it’s better not to take the risk if you don’t need to.

There’s no need to use anything that may cause health problems.

Why use it indeed. There are other more natural preservatives available that work well, so why do the big companies still use parabens? It’s all about profit. Parabens are much cheaper than the more natural alternatives.

So although there is no conclusive studies proving that parabens are dangerous many people are looking for parabens free products. There really are excellent paraben free alternatives that are available right now. And they work well.
